Vengeance at Castle Olni I

After Black Dragon Jamesu learned of former Kogasuma Emperor Sing Do Sho's involvement with the murder of his father, Tomasu "The Great Dragon" Kamihoto, he went to Sing's castle and staked the place out. Early into his mission, one that current Emperor Sanamoto knows nothing of, he is joined by CM ninja Yamashidi who is on a mission to kill Sing as well. Both become quick friends. After several setbacks over five months, Yamashidi and Jamesu have finally had some luck with infiltrating the complex codes and security system Sing has in place. Sing, with his only living child, a daughter, is guarded by Eratic, the Sun, the Moon, and a fierce legion of guards. Yamashidi and Jamesu have found a small group of visitors are to greet Sing within a few days. This group includes a group of women who represent a allied governor. Yamashidi decides to cable his Lord for some assistance as he thinks this could be a great way to enter Sing's castle.

Yamashidi returns to the small village apartment he and Black Dragon Jamesu have planned their mission for the past five months in. Jamesu is sharpening his sword, a family heirloom given to him by his father just prior to his killing. Yamashidi says, "The cable is sent. I hope the Lord gets my message and sends someone to infiltrate the visiting party this coming week. If we have a 'plant' in that group, we may be able to get in." Jamesu looks over and says, "It's about time we take Sing Do Sho out. That bastard has lived  nearly ten years after brutally killing my father. I never thought he would be so hard to get to. Some days I can barely keep myself from attacking those swine that enter the castle. We will have a very tough fight." Yamashidi nods and adds, "I agree. Lord Zando will not send too many people to help us. He is afraid if they are found here, it could lead to a greater conflict, especially if we fail. With this 'Sun' and 'Moon' watching over Sing, we really have no clue as to how tough they could be." Jamesu replies, "Even if I die, I will avenge my father and bring honor to my family again. The stain of my father's murder has darkened our family within the society. I don't know anything about these new guys, but they will have their hands full.....I guarantee that!"

Grandmaster Komigi summons Valerie and Melinda Fox to his country villa. As they arrive, Komigi places his hand out with a note. Melinda receives the note as Komigi stays silent. Melinda reads it to herself and then hands it to her sister. Komigi then says, "I wish Valerie to go and aid Yamashidi. She has to prove to me and the Lord her honor after she helped the Demon Ninjas." Valerie looks up at Komigi with astonishment and says, "Prove what grandmaster? I merely aided Tang Fu Lii and Yakenzo. I did this to keep  the Demons from stating a war with the local villagers." Melinda says softly, "The Demon Ninjas needed to be pacified and Valerie's assistance with rescuing Keyoto did that." Komigi replies, "My concern is not with Valerie's loyalty, I have no doubt about that, but helping to bring down Sing Do Sho will restore any blight that helping Demon Ninjas could have caused." Valerie bows and says, "Very well grandmaster" and walks out of the room. As Melinda turns to follow her sister, Komigi says quietly, "I sense your anger over this decision Melinda Huntington. Valerie's history with the Demon Ninjas has raised our concerns from time to time." Melinda stops and listens as Komigi continues, "Her skill and bravery are highly noted with dealing with those barbarians. We just want to keep her on the 'right' track." Melinda stays motionless. Komigi adds, "I know how much you cherish your sisters. This will only make you stronger." Melinda walks out of the villa. As Melinda enters the forest to join her sister, Valerie hisses, "Are you happy now. You have that old man sending me to the Kogasuma to aid Yamashidi now. How did he ever get in his mind that I was helping the Demon Ninjas?" Melinda says, "I would have never wished such a thing Val and you know that." Valerie sees the shock on her sister's face and eases off. Melinda says, "I will go in your place. Komigi will never know. A disguise will be needed anyway, they will not know the difference." Valerie replies, "No, I will do it. The mission called for a diplomatic greeting party to meet Sing Do Sho. I think I would be better suited for such a mission." The two sisters ride off with the weight of the mission on their heads.

At Sing Do Sho's castle, he and his advisors look over a field report he has just received. His chief spy, known as "The Moon" walks to him and whispers something in his ear. Sing laughs, "The days of my exile will soon be over. Sanamoto can't get the nobles to fully back him. My plan continues it's success." Eratic enters the vast room and knees to Sing and says, "Master, Governor Santochi's party will arrive within four days. Do you plan to use your alliance with him to crush Sanamoto?" Sing says, "I plan to exile Sanamoto if he gives up without a fight, but, I have no trouble killing him though. He has been very disrespectful of me and my family for these three years. I also need to enact some vengeance onto the Kamihoto family. I should have wiped them out when I had their father butchered." Sing spits and continues, "Rex Peterson will have to answer for his crimes as well. A new order will be reigned into. The CM's will have the most to fret when I return. What they have done to me will drive my vengeance for years to come. (Lord) Hamuru killed my wife, my only son and two of my daughters. They will never know peace again."

Early the next day Yamashidi receives a cable from the CM. Yamashidi learns that a female will be sent to Sing's castle with instructions on infiltrating the governor diplomatic mission. Yamashidi is delighted with the news and tell Jamesu. Jamesu replies after hearing the news, "I wonder if your Lord is sending Gina Nackiomi as the planted agent?" Yamashidi replies as he looks over a diagram of the castle, "I don't know. Gina is very skilled but this mission would call for someone of finesse and grace. I just hope it isn't Jill Matsmoti." Jamesu laughs and asks, "You really hate her, why?" Yamashidi replies, "She has been a thorn in my side since we met. No woman should be on equal footing as a man in our nation. It is the pride of my heritage that I say that. I respect her as a fighter....a ninja, but she should not be the leader of the Black Ninjas." Jamesu looks out of the window in their hideout as the rain pours down and says, "We have to be ready to roll when we get any information from the inside agent. Our time is now, do or die we are nearing the monument of our destiny."

Valerie Fox has arrived at Sing Do Sho's castle, Castle Olni. Valerie has received information that Governor Santochi's visiting party will be staying nearby and will be arriving soon. That night of their arrival, Valerie captures one of the girls in the party while she strolled in the forest. Valerie asks her for her name and the names of the others in the governor's party. The girl answers willingly and Valerie has a Blue Archer aid take the girl away from the area of action to be freed when the mission is over. Valerie disguises herself as a member of the governor's party and waits for them to enter the castle. The next morning the party enters and Valerie manages to join the others and enters with them with no trouble. Mindful that the girls in these diplomatic parties generally do nothing but stay silent and smile and bow to everyone, Valerie knows she will not have to engage in any conversations of depth. She spends the first hours mapping out the many corridors throughout the castle. The governor's diplomatic group has free range on many of the floors. Valerie is able to identify Eratic, a man she thinks is the Sun, and even Sings's daughter. All of these notes are written down and readied for Yamashidi and Jamesu.

Yamashidi and Black Dragon Jamesu keep a close lookout on the castle as they know the governor's party is now inside. Both keep watch of the entrances and exits. On the forth day, a small group of girls levels the castle during the late evening. The group is made up of only four girls and they all go in different directions. Yamashidi is passed by one, this girl is too young to be a CM agent. Several minutes later as Yamashidi begins to return to get Jamesu alerted for his "shift", Yamashidi feels a tapping on his back. He turns and sees a girl dressed with a blue and white kimono and blue face paint. He looks right into her eyes and knows who it is, "Valerie Fox!" She places a finger to her lips and quietly says, "Shhhhh! Take this, it's a map of the security detail and some other useful information. Act quickly, Governor Santochi's party leaves in two days. Sing Do Sho has moved a large bulk of his troops to the Kogasuma capital. The defenses of his castle are at their weakest now. I'll be ready when you are able to strike." She turns and darts away. Yamashidi quickly notifies Jamesu. Yamashidi tells Jamesu of the meeting with Valerie and they study her notes. Both decide to enter using a disguise suggested by Valerie and with two passes she obtained. Jamesu says, "Hot damn, she really did her homework here. We should be able to enter tonight. Are you ready my brother?" (calling Yamashidi his brother in arms) Yamashidi replies happily, "Indeed brother. Our destiny awaits us."

Later that evening Yamashidi and Jamesu ready themselves for their mission. Jamesu meditates and writes a letter to his siblings, Royal Dragon and Princess Meiko. Yamashidi writes one to his girlfriend Robin Kang. After the notes are sent, the two disguise themselves as deliveryman to the castle pantry. They both use the security passes given by Valerie. They enter with no trouble and hide near the lower level of the castle. Jamesu whispers, "We have to find Sing quick and destroy this place. Let's go up a few levels and get our bearings." They both do so quickly and find very few of Sing's troops actually in the castle. Jamesu takes off his disguise and says, "I'm ready to fight anyone that wants to challenge me. Sing has to be near the top of this castle. Let's hit the stairs and go to the top." Yamashidi agrees, and they make their way to the staircase, evading any troops they come by. As they reach the upper levels of the castle, Jamesu and Yamashidi are struck by the beauty of the castle. Jamesu says quietly, "All this wealth for a man so corrupt and evil. This money could have been used to help his people. No wonder why so many people hate this man." The two walk down a long corridor looking at the notes given to them by Valerie. Yamashidi turns a corner and is spotted by a group of Sing's troops. He turns to Jamesu and tells him to run and find Sing as he fights the troops. Jamesu goes to the stairway as Yamashidi fights the troops. Looking over Valerie's map, Jamesu head to the lowest level, an underground level comes to a dark room and enters. Jamesu thinks, "I need to start a diversion down here to get the troops to leave Sing or at least lower their guard." He looks for a way to illuminate the room and hears someone say faintly, "With darkens comes light...comes fire....comes the burning power of the sun." A flare is lit in front of Jamesu.

Jamesu looks up at a man dressed in red and yellow. A powerful, mountain of a man. The man says, "You dare to enter the Castle of Sing Do Sho!" Jamesu yells, "Who are you? Do you ally yourself with that swine Sing Do Sho! He is a murderer and a corrupt bastard. He butchered my father nearly ten years ago. Any ally of Sing is a sworn enemy of mine." The man in red and yellow stands from his chair and yells, "You will see my power, a power that will burn your soul." The man raises his arms and says, "I am known as the Sun." Yelling louder, ...I am the SUN!!!" And now throwing flash bombs around him as he roars loudly, "......I AM..... THE SUNNNNN!!!!!"   To be continued.....
