Royal Dragon's Dilemma III

After a night of restless sleeplessness, Suko Motonaga sprang from her bed and searched the house for Royal Dragon. She had been staying in a guest room within Royal Dragon's house for the past two weeks. Neither has spoken to each other besides some mild pleasantries. Royal Dragon has spent most of his days at Rex Peterson's chalet and also visiting his friends at the Karate school. Suko decides she will search his bedroom for any clues of why he has been avoiding her for this period of time. She knows if caught searching his room, she could be seriously punished but decides to do it anyway. She thinks to herself, "I have to find something to give me a clue about his actions." She finds a letter written by his brother Black Dragon in which he reassures Royal Dragon about his heartache. She questions to herself, "what heartache is he speaking of? Is it me?" she continues to search but the question in Black Dragon's letter keeps ringing in her head. She then gives up but decides to go see Royal Dragon's half sister Princess Meiko later and ask her what's going on.

That afternoon Suko arrived at Princess Meiko's villa. She was greeted warmly by Meiko when she entered. "How are your doing Suko? You look good. Is my brother being good to you?" Meiko asks. "Oh yes.....thanks", Suko responds. "Let's sit and talk about your wedding plans Suko." Meiko says happily. The two sit down and start looking at a series of wedding books filled with lavishly detailed wedding arraignment options and gifts. Suko's mood turns to sadness. Meiko is very happy and wants to help plan Suko's wedding but soon notices Suko is almost in tears. "What's wrong Suko? Why are you so sad?" Meiko asks. "Oh, it's nothing.......please go on." Suko says while tears start to appear. "Oh no, you must tell me what's wrong Suko, is it the wedding? Did I say something wrong?" Meiko asks. Suko sits quietly while more tears appear. Meiko looks directly into Suko's eyes and asks, "Tell me what is wrong. Is it your wedding, is it my brother?" Suko, stays quiet for a minute and finally explains her troubles with Royal Dragon. After Suko has explained her dilemma, Meiko stands and starts to think about what she has just heard. "What should I do Meiko, I love him but he must be obsessed on something or someone else." Meiko says quietly, "Well I did here something from my brother, Black Dragon, the other day that may be the cause of this trouble." Suko leaps to her feet and says, "well what is it!!!" "Suko, you may not like what I'm about to tell you. I didn't really know this would be a problem but Juno met Gina Nackiomi at a Aikido tournament in the Union Republic several weeks ago, before you came back." Meiko says as Suko stares at hearing the news, "he was quite taken with her. He spoke at length to Black Dragon about this. I thought he was over her by now though, since you arrived. He never mentioned a thing to me about her though. I'm so sorry to have giving you this news but your my friend and I have to tell you the truth." Suko falls to the floor in tears and cries as Meiko consoles her. Suko screams, "I have to win him back" and runs out of the house. Meiko stands and cries for her to return to no avail.

Later that night Suko meets her two guards, Sheng and Keko. Suko asks them if they could get information on where Gina Nackiomi can be found. Sheng says he know he can get that information within a few day, Suko agrees to make a plan when he gets the information. Over the next few days Suko finds out Royal Dragon has left for another meeting at Rex Peterson's chalet but on the third day Sheng arrives at her home and says he has good information on Gina's whereabouts. Suko orders Sheng and Keko to get a few more guards together for the journey to see Gina. Suko is totally obsessed with this mission to see Gina and size her up. She has sworn Sheng and Keko to secrecy on this mission. The following morning Suko packs her bags for the journey and leaves Royal Dragon a note simply saying, "I'll be the only one for you after I come back!" When Sheng and Keko arrive with two guards, they set out to the CM.

 

Four days later Suko's crew arrive at a small fishing cabin along a large pond. Information that Sheng has indicates Gina would be there within the next few days, it's her father old fishing cabin and Gina loves to go there on weekends. Suko and a the crew check the cabin to see if anyone is around and find the place is empty. They enter and slowly look threw the artifacts within the cabin. Suko soon finds a picture of Gina, the first picture of Gina she's seen. She thinks to herself, "My, she kind of looks like me a little. She looks very young, I wonder how old she is.": The crew decides to set up a camp nearby. The next day, a Saturday, Keko awakes Suko and the crew with news that Gina has arrived, alone. Suko orders the crew to get together and prepare to follow her orders. Suko cleans herself up and the crew take up their positions. Suko then makes her way toward Gina's cabin.

Gina is getting her bags unpacked. She then starts the woodstove, the morning temperatures are cool this morning and Gina just wanted to read a little while away from the CM base. She yawns and stretches and sits down with a book she has just bought. A few minutes later she hears someone coming to her front door and then a knock on the door. Gina gets up and asks who's at the door. Suko responds, "I'm a friend of Royal Dragon, please open the door." Gina thinks to herself, "what is this girl doing here. This sounds a bit odd but I'll see what's going on." Gina slowly opens the door and sees a girl dressed in pink dress standing there with her hand in her pockets. Suko sees Gina standing in the doorway, she is at first confused. This girl looks different from the picture but her face is the same. Gina says, "hello, can I help you." Suko responds angrily, "Royal Dragon, Juno, is my future husband and I'm here to challenge you Gina Nackiomi." Gina is shocked to hear this and says, "no, no, no, I met Royal Dragon at a tournament some time ago. What do you think went on between us? We just talked to one another, nothing more." With that Keko leaps from behind Gina and grabs her around the torso. Suko stand back, as Sheng and the two guards rush into the cabin. Gina tosses Keko off but the other three leap onto her. She struggles to escape, she kicks one in the face and fiercely thrashes around the floor, wrestling with the two others. Sheng cries out, "get the powder, get the powder." They continue to wrestle around the floor of the cabin, knocking over the tables and chairs. Gina then breaks free of one of the guards on her and tries to stand while Sheng still hold onto her. Then Keko, from behind places a powdered cloth across Gina's face. Gina fights to get free, she throws Sheng off with the strength she still has but the powdered cloth soon takes it's effect when Gina collapses to the floor. She is out cold. The crew gather to their feet as Suko enters the room. "Is she out?" Suko asks. Keko replies, "yes.....she should be out for a few minutes. We have to work fast." Sheng, out of breath says, "boy, she was tough, that girl was strong." The two guards pick Gina off the floor and place her into a wooden trunk and place a lock on it and carry it out. Suko and the others follow.

Suko and the others place the trunk onto a small fishing raft and Suko and Keko start for the middle of the pond. Inside the trunk, Gina remains unconscious. Within a few minutes they get to the ponds center and stop. Suko is very nervous. "I have never killed anyone before, I don't know if I can do this. She really didn't seem like a bad person." Keko responds, "We came this far, let's finish it. Remember Juno will be yours after this is done. No one will ever know." Suko say timidly, "Well I don't know." Keko replies, "We've come this far, if she get away or if we get caught, we'll be killed. We have no choice now." Suko then says, "We okay then, this is for Juno." Keko then starts to tie an anvil to the trunk and then starts to push the truck. Keko then asks Suko, "Come on, help me, this thing is heavy." Suko helps push the trunk. As the raft begins to sway with the shifting weight of the truck, the truck is tossed overboard. A splash occurs. Suko and Keko watch as the wooden truck slowly is pulled under the waterline from the weight of the anvil. Suko and Keko make for the shoreline. They get off the raft and the group look onto the pond as the truck has vanished. Suko is shaking with nervousness, "What have I done." Keko say, "Think about it, ten years from now you'll be happily married with children with Juno. This will be a distant memory." They all get together and start back for the Kogasuma.

As the trunk slowly falls to the pond's floor bed, Gina is slowly awakened by the water slowly leaking into the trunk. When she realizes she is underwater in the trunk she begins to think quickly about how to get out. Water has risen about one quarter of the trunks capacity. Gina notices the trunk is locked tight and the water is cold. The darkness and lack of air frighten her but she thinks to herself, she has to break free of this, she has to survive. Her legs and arms are tied with some cloth gathered from inside her cabin. She begins to breath deeper and slower as she concentrates on getting free and focuses her physical strength. The water has now risen to almost half way inside the trunk and the cold water is making her shiver badly. Gina closes her eyes and as the water pours over them. Within seconds she roars a enormous cry of rage as she suddenly rips out of her cloth shackles. An even deeper, gut wrenching roar of inner strength flow threw her as she starts kicking the trucks lid. Water fills in quickly and she fights feverishly to break free. Gina's mind goes blank as she continues to fight. Cold water covering her body, she struggle to find the outside of the trunk. Then slowly Gina notices she is coming toward lighter water. Her mind is very cloudy. She then thrust her fist into the open air and knows she has somehow become free of the truck. She quickly swims to the shore, a very difficult task now since the cold water is really taken it's toll. Gina reaches shoreline and slowly crawls onto the grassy shore. Shivering uncontrollably from the cold, with what strength she still has she makes for the cabin. She crawls on the ground, her feet almost numb by now. Finally she makes her way into the cabin and crawls to the woodstove, which is still warm from earlier. With the will to survive, Gina also is now consumed with rage at what just happened. She makes sure Suko's crew are not around and returns to the woodstove. She then rips her soaking cloths off and grabs a blanket from her couch and wraps up within it. She remains on the floor in a fetal position, while her body warms. She sleeps there for hours before waking. She slowly stands and looks around at the mess on the cabins floor. Tables turned over, a broken chair, and her shredded soaking cloths on the floor. She walks to a mirror and sees  herself. Her face pale from the cold, her hair is a mess, but she notices her body is shaken. Not from the cold but with the anger from within her from what just happened. She stares into the mirror again and clinches his fist as her muscles tighten up, Gina thinks to herself, "You made one bad decision Suko. Just wait until I get a hold of you. Just you wait........"
