Royal Dragon's Dilemma IIRoyal Dragon sites in Rex Peterson's chalet and begins to explain his visit to the Union Republic and his meeting with Gina Nackiomi. Royal Dragon begins," Well, I headed to the Aikido tournament on that Friday, it was a cool fall day and I had wanted to see these competitors for some time. The Union Republic has been great when it comes to these competitions since they are generally neutral when it comes to the Commando Massacres and Kogasuma. I arrived around mid-morning. The tournament had already begun. There were about 300 spectators, some I recognized from top schools in the Kogasuma. The first matches were not too good, but they all start like that. Many of the competitors were young kids, teenagers generally, the older, more experienced fighters would be later. Around noon I decided to get some lunch at one of the local markets within the town. While I was walking down a corridor to leave the eatery I noticed this girl shopping at a weapon smiths shop. She look a little usual, she had a mustard colored fighting dress on, in a monk style. The center of her head was shaved with eight tattoos and the sides around the ears were shaved too. I walked in to check her out more. She was checking out some of the Naginatas and Kendo swords within the shop. I walked over and commented on the quality of the products within the shop. She turned to me and gave me sudden glace, her eyes caught me and I forgot what her first word to me were. I stumbled to respond, just looking into her almost black colored eyes. She gave me a serious look but when she noticed I was stumbling for words she smiled. She introduced herself as Gina Nackiomi and stated she was a Warrior Monk fighter for the Commando Massacres. We agreed that the quality of the weapons were not great and we left. I then decided to introduce myself as Juno Kamihoto, a member of the Kogasuma royal house.

She stopped and gave me a sort of odd glace but then asked if I was here for the competition. I said I was just a spectator, I had no plans to enter. She said she too was a spectator and was curious. As we were walking I decided to ask her about her tattoo on her left arm, a nine band tattoo. We stopped by a small stream and she showed me her tattoo in more detail and explained them in detail. She was very proud of them. She said the eight on her head she received when she became a Warrior Monk, they were a symbol of her accomplishments within the Warrior Monk temple. The more she talked and explained herself the more I liked her. She was very petite in a way, only about 5"3" tall but she had nicely developed muscles, those a fighter would have. This I noticed more when she explained her arm tattoo. Her firm arm muscles really brought out these arm tattoos. She said this tattoo was the reward for achieving a special rank among the Warrior Monk elite. She stated she dreaded getting it because she knew her father Calvin would disapprove. She straightened her arm out and explained each tattoo represented a skill she mastered within the Warrior Monk Temple, they were only ten total. I asked 'why do you only nine?' She embarrassingly says one was strictly for men so she couldn't achieve the tenth. She also said she would never get another arm tattoo and her right arm will never get inked. Then she asked if I wanted to see her last tattoo. I thought to myself, 'Oh, boy...where is this tattoo, I may be luckier than I had thought.' I said yes. She then comes closer to me and looks straight into my face and then sticks out her tongue. She had a black dot tattoo in the center of her tongue. I coiled back and said, 'Wow, that had to hurt'. She laughed and said it did, A LOT and she couldn't taste things correctly for over a month. I questioned the reason for that and she answered, it was simply a sign within the Warrior Monks of bravery and the fear of no pain. She laughed and said she did fear pain while and after she got the tongue tattoo, and added in hindsight she wouldn't have gotten it. |

| We then went to the afternoon session of the Aikido
tournament. We both noted the students styles and
techniques. I found her very knowledgeable on the art of
Aikido. After the tournament concluded for the night I bid
her goodnight and we made plans to see the tournament
tomorrow. I walked to a village Inn and checked in for the
night. I thought throughout the night how much I enjoyed
her company and how I really wanted to be with her. Her
black eyes just keep running threw my mind all that night.
She was so wild in a way but also so comfortable to be
with too, very easy going. I thought too I had to ask her
feelings on the Kogasuma.
The next day I search for her at the tournament and finally found her , again at a weapon smiths stand. She was happy to see me and decided to skip the early matches. We walked to a wooded area a few miles north of the town and gazed at the fall foliage as it had turned colors with the seasonal changes. She was wearing a knit cap over her head this day and had a grey thermal top underneath her dress. Every motion she made I fell more in love with. Just the act of her taking a deep breath of the crisp fall air drove me wild. She turned and said she was a former smoker and she really appreciates the clean air now. I then had to ask her her feelings regarding the Kogasuma and the conflicts they have with the Commando Massacres. She said she had no real problem with many within the Kogasuma but there were a few she disliked for various reasons, she never explained in detail. She added she loved her team allot and had very close friends with the team, friends she would gladly die for. She also expressed her love for her father Calvin who had been injured a few years ago by Kogasuma forces and was now wheelchair ridden. She seemed more angry about that. I questioned who injured her father, she believes it was ninjas and army officers within Gen. Fuji's outfit. She turned and I noticed she had become much more angrier, her voice deepened with rage and her fist became clinched and the muscles in her arms tightened. I knew I had to calm her down, I didn't mean to anger her, it was obvious she really had issues regarding her father's injuries. She then glared at me with a cold glace and asked if I knew where to find Gen. Fuji and those who were responsible. I stood there trying to think of something, I know Gen. Fuji but I didn't want to tell her. The expression on her face drew increasingly hostile and threatening. Her breaths became deeper and the veins in her neck began to bulge. I then said I have seen Gen. Fuji but I rarely know where he is and then added I will try to help her find any information to help her. She then turned and said she wishes she could get a hold of those who humiliated and hurt her father. She then began to cry a little, I noticed a few tears running down her cheek as she wiped them away, while a little embarrassed. I told her I could understand her issues with those people and I noted that I would look into the situation as soon as I came home. She sat down and apologized for becoming so angry. She then cocked her head back and looked into the cool sky and said we should part ways now, she had lost interest with the tournament and wanted to go home. I was a little shocked, she must have really gotten deeply upset by the conversation regarding her father. I said I was sorry we had to part ways so soon. She smiled at me and said she thoroughly enjoyed my company and thought I was a really decent guy. I asked if we could ever meet each other again, she stood and said she hopes too and if I had any information regarding her fathers case to inform a special ambassador within the Union Republic that she knew. I asked one last request of her, a small kiss. She seemed a little startled by the request and them asked in return that I remove my mask. I thought to myself that my identity is well know and many within the Kogsuma know my true face so I removed my mask. She came over an gently gave me a quick peck of a kiss on my cheek. That quick kiss was short but it would stay in my mind....even today. She walked over to a tree and leaned against it as I put my mask back on. She waved to me as I slowly headed back to town, my mind racing with thoughts. The image of her waving to me from that tree is still burnt into my mind. |

| I left the town that night, I too had lost interest. So that is it Master." Peterson slowly paces the floor and says, "well, I can see your dilemma. Remember, you only knew her for a few days. You don't know the whole story on her. Getting involved with Gen. Fuji's affairs isn't a good idea at all. Overall I would recommend you to try to forget her, don't act as a love-struck fool. Try to make your marriage work. Suko has alot to offer you. If you continue to have these feelings regarding Gina Nackiomi come back and we'll talk further. I wish you well on this, there is a lot at stake with this marriage." Royal Dragon bows and bids Rex Peterson a good day. As Royal Dragon heads home the thoughts of Gina continue to haunt his mind as he thinks, "What am I going to do?" |
