Island Invasion III

Island Invasion III

from Island Invasion II...

With the CLG being toppled from power on September 6, Keyoto and Hiroto believe it will only be a matter of time before Adams and his invasion force leaves the island. On September 7, Adams, Millberg, and Yoder meet on Yoder's island and reject calls by Zando Yokomoto and Lord Kusugi to return. Adams decides to push for a full invasion and to rid the island of Demon Ninjas.

On September 7, Keyoto orders a full attack on the northern island strongholds on his island. YD reports more arsons near the south but Keyoto believes he has to destroy the CM/CLG forces before he can considerate on smaller arsons. Hiroto reports an estimate on nearly 300 CM troops within the Demon jungle. Keyoto keeps a division of his top troops near the main barracks as a precaution. Edosu, Demon Devin, and Demon Estrada lead the northern attack.

Zanatogi and 850 of his Fire Ninja arrive on the island on September 8. Zanatogi and Keyoto talk and Zanatogi orders the Fire Ninja to join the fight on the northern battle, little action is seen on any other shores of the island. Hiroto reports a heavy battle but is concerned with the enormous amount of dead washing up on the southern shore. With a southern ocean current, many of the battleship dead are washing up on the southern beaches as well as the southern battle dead. Keyoto orders the troops to stay away from the southwestern beaches. Erisu returns to duty and helps his father plan troop movements after recovering from surgery. Adams has ordered all captured Demon troops to be destroyed in Yoder's furnace. Keyoto hears more horror stories of this and hopes the northern battle ends soon so he can invade Yoder's Island.

On September 9, the Demon Ninjas are able to make major advances on the CLG/CM positions. Hiroto orders his last remaining division into the battle. Adams, Yoder and Millberg leave their post on Demon Ninja Island and return to Yoder's Island. Keyoto is happy with the turn of events.

September 10 brings another day of heavy fighting. Hiroto and Erisu draw up a plan for an invasion of Yoder's Island. YD learns that Shocker Quicksand has killed many Demon troops on the mountain's fire pits, YD and some troops keep on the search for him. CM Lord Kusugi orders Adams and his force to withdraw from the area. Adams refuses. Yoder orders the northern beaches and jungle on Demon Ninja Island to be burned with their retreat. Demon Ninja Troops battle fires as well as heavy fighting. Edosu reports heavy losses. Hiroto reports to Keyoto that nearly 7000 Demon troops have died since August 18. Zanatogi is able to lead a successful attack on a CM warship. The remaining Demon warship is badly damaged. Keyoto orders the captured ship to be readied for an attack on Yoder's Island as soon as possible. Erisu oversees the preperation of the captured ship for an attack on Yoder's Island. Later in the day Keyoto gets news that a small group of CM troops, lead by Quicksand, entered the personal quarters of Keyoto and YD and stole many of their items. Keyoto is furious and finds that the personal quarters building had been gassed while Keyoto and his staff were away. Many of the guards are very sick from the gas. YD is ordered to devote his full time to track down Quicksand.

On the morning of September 11, the Demon forces successfully force the CM/CLG forces from the north shore. Edosu reports that the shore is covered in blood and bodies. Keyoto is pleased to hear this and orders Edosu and Devin to return to the (temporary) headquarters. YD finds that Quicksand has left the island and taken one of his masks and many personal items of his and Keyoto. At Yoder's Island the CLG argue over future tactics. Adams and Yoder wish to regroup and attack the island again. Millberg wants to return to the CM nation and try to make a deal with Lord Kusugi and Zando Yokomoto. Doctors inform Keyoto that the corpses on the island are causing an outbreak of illness to some Demon Troops. Keyoto orders the burning of all bodies in huge bonfires. Hiroto reports that nearly 7400 Demon and Fire Ninjas have died and 22000 CM troops. Hiroto estimates that 300 CM troops remain in the island jungle. Keyoto orders 4000 troops to be ready for the invasion of Yoder's Island.

Keyoto attacks Yoder's Island on September 12. Keyoto, Estrada, Edosu, and Demon Devin lead the troops onto the beaches. Hiroto, Zanatogi, YD,  and Erisu are left to oversee Demon Ninja Island. A fierce battle ensues. The CLG are informed that Lord Kusugi has fired them as generals. Millberg leaves the island on his warship, but remains to the north of Demon Ninja Island. Adams and Yoder command the operations on Yoder's Island. The Demons have difficulty with making a clear landing on the island and heavy casulties are reported. That night Keyoto sees the infamous furnace through his binoculars as he witnesses a group of captured Demon Troops being forced inside and then burned. He sees as the doors of the furnace re-opened and the burning Demon troops are set free running on fire into the ocean. Keyoto roars with anger at the sight. Keyoto is privately angry too at the fact the so many Demon troops fell into CM hands.

The Demons are able to land on Yoder's Island on September 13. The beaches of this small island are covered with fighting troops. Erisu arrived to help Keyoto.  Keyoto makes his way toward the furnace and hopes to free any remaining captured Demon troops. Keyoto and Devin discover a pit with hundreds of Demon troops and frees them. As they are being released, several bombs explode and many inside the pit are injured or killed. Keyoto and Devin fight off a heavy attack as the pit burns. Keyoto then tries to destroy the furnace but is overrun by a sea of CM troops. After a fight, Keyoto is able to escape and regroup with Devin and many of the freed Demon troops. Edosu and Erisu search for Adams and Yoder. Edosu finds a small hut with Yoder and a few of his aides. Edsou and his troops attack. Edosu shoves an ax deep into Yoder's chest as his troops kill Yoder's aides. Edosu and his troops drag Yoder's corpse away. Keyoto, Devin, Estrada, Erisu, and Edosu meet and Keyoto is very pleased with the killing of Yoder. By nightfall Yoder's Island is in Demon hands. Erisu and Edosu have no idea were Adams is. Keyoto orders Erisu to keep command of the island as the Keyoto, Devin and Edosu return to their island. YD is sent to hunt down Adams.

September 14 begins as Keyoto has a meeting with Hiroto,  Zanatogi, Devin, Edosu, and Estrada. Major fighting is over. Keyoto is informed that his troops are very tired and have a huge job of rebuilding the island. Hiroto reports that 8300 Demon troops out of 19000 have died in the battle. 24500 CM troops out of an estimated 42000 have died. Later that day Keyoto gets a message from Hiroto from CLG Millberg, asking Keyoto for his serviced and surrender. Keyoto reads the letter and orders Hiroto and Estrada to oversee the landing of Millberg's ship. Keyoto orders the entire ship to be emptied and all CM troops to be put on grave digging duty. Millberg is placed in a bunker as Keyoto thinks over his options. The entire island stinks of death and rotting corpses. A few CM troops are still seen in the island's jungle. Erisu reports no activity on Yoder's Island, no sign of Adams or the Shockers.

Keyoto has another meeting on September 15 and declares the battle officially over. He gives evaluations to his top aides. Keyoto says he is impressed with how well Edosu fought and that he killed the only CLG member, Yoder. Keyoto gives Edosu 1000 tales of gold for killing Yoder. He also says he's impressed with how well Demon Devin fought. He learns that when she's fighting or busy, she doesn't cause any trouble. He had some doubts about her in recent months but her dedication to the Demons was proven. Keyoto promotes her to an aide of Gen. Hiroto. Keyoto later holds a mass really and declares victory over the CLG. He orders the troops to rest for a few days as the job of rebuilding the island begins. Hiroto has talked to Millberg and reports to Keyoto that he is willing to help the Demons in any way to attack the CM or to help the Demon's rebuild. Millberg indicates that he has been stripped of his rank of sixteen years and only faces trial and execution if he returns to the CM nation. He is willing to work as an advisor to Hiroto since he knows the inner workings of the CM leadership. Keyoto now has to decide what to do with Millberg and the captured CM troops from his warship. Meanwhile, the Shockers have returned to the CM and report that YD fell in battle and Quicksand has his mask as proof. They request a bounty for the belongs they stole from Keyoto and YD's quarters. Yamada pays for the belongings and uses the mask of YD as a trophy of the battle. Rumor of YD's death travel to the Kogasuma and Juki Wu collapses on hearing the news, as her father nears death. Keyoto also has to decide how to deal with a new Lord in the CM.
