Island Invasion IIFrom Island Invasion I.... After a week of attacks on their island, Demon Keyoto is facing a life and death struggle to save his clan on their last stronghold. A powerful storm on August 27 keeps the invading CLG/CM forces at bay. Keyoto uses this opportunity to relieve several divisions on Demon troops under Erisu who have fought almost nonstop since the battle began on August 18. As the storm lessons on August 28, CLG Adams reports to CLG leader Guyers that the island will fall within two weeks. Hiroto gets reports that Demon Devin and her troops have successfully driven out the pirates, that invaded the island. Most of these pirates were killed and the Demons looted their ship under her orders. Yellow Demon continues to hunt for Shockers members as they continue to sabotage many Demon defenses. Hiroto is later informed that a huge invasion force is attacking on the east and many of the CM soldiers have entered the jungle. Keyoto knows many traps will cut them down but with the sheer number of troops, many will get by. Hiroto orders Demon Estrada to lead the attack on this eastern force. Late that night Hiroto reports that of the 18,000 Demon troops, 2200 are known dead, not including the 1000 killed while on route to Demon Ninja Island. Keyoto worries about what is to come. On August 29, Erisu informs Keyoto that the CM invaders are now in larger numbers and he is in need of re-enforcements. Edosu, too, complains that his troops are under heavy stress. Several embedded CM Black Ninjas, who have been with the Demons for nearly a year, start rumors that Keyoto refuses to fight and that his has already fled. Edosu's division has the majority of these rumor spreaders and many threaten to kill him if Keyoto doesn't show his face in battle soon. Keyoto learns of the rumors and sends his personal bodyguards to help Edosu out. Hiroto later reports that one of the Demon warships has engaged in battle with three CM warships and all are on fire in a heavy battle. On the morning of August 30, Hiroto is given news that the CM forces, under orders of CLG Yoder, are sending captured Demon troops to a nearby small island and killing them. It is learned that these Demon troops are being placed into a huge makeshift furnace and are being burned alive. Yoder is said to be station their with Millberg. Hiroto estimates nearly 700 troops have been sent there since August 23. Keyoto informs Hiroto to get a strike force together to invade this island as soon as the western island defenses are strong. YD reports that many CM troops have made it out of the deep jungle and have been spotted near some of the Demon troop barracks. Keyoto roars with anger as he hears all this bad news. Hiroto gives Edosu more reserved troops to help as reports continue to indicate a very heavy battle in the south. Erisu reports a lighter attack up north. Estrada hasn't reported and Devin says the warship battle is still underway, one CM warship sank. As August 31 dawns, Keyoto is informed by Hiroto that the massacres on Yoder's island are much worse than realized and nearly all of one entire division of recent young Demon recruits were captured and burned alive there, nearly 375 young men. Also it is learned that the families of those who helped the Demon's break through the July/August barricade, are being killed there as well. Keyoto simmers with fury. Edosu reports that the re-enforcements helped but his forces have had many casualties. Estrada reports fierce fighting on the east. As Keyoto awaits his noon briefing, a rocket plows into his headquarters. The blast throws Keyoto and Hiroto to the floor. Of the seven troops in the room with Keyoto and Hiroto, three die. YD soon arrives to help Keyoto and the others out as the headquarters burns. YD says the rocket had to have been fired from nearby, believing it was fired by Shockers. Keyoto and the others leave the burning headquarters, Keyoto looks out over the jungle and hears the sounds of battle nearby. He turns to Hiroto and YD and roars, "It's time for us to fight! We now have to join our troops in combat. They need us. The Demon Ninjas are about to make this island the graveyard of all who oppose us!" Keyoto tears off his shirt and roars defiantly. He gives Hiroto orders to oversee the Demon army planning as Keyoto and YD enter the jungle to aide their troops. Keyoto and YD search the jungle for hours, cutting down many dozen CM soldiers who have entered. Keyoto and YD eventually arrive at the eastern front and greet Estrada. Keyoto and YD jump right into the fight on the beach as many small boats full of CM troops land. Keyoto and the Demons fight with no mercy. |

September 1 began as Keyoto and YD arrive back to the ruins of the headquarters building and to get an update from Hiroto. Hiroto reports that Devin and Erisu have been attacked from the rear by rocket fire. Keyoto decides to hunt down the Shockers. CLG Adams reports to CM headquarters that their forces should taken part of the island within days. One Demon warship and four CM warships have been sunk. Hiroto informs Keyoto that nearly 5000 Demon troops are dead. Keyoto shakes with rage. Keyoto also is informed that Yoder's island is still too difficult to attack at this time. Reports from nearby say the furnace on the island is being fired all day and night. Keyoto says he wishes to be informed when he can make a move, as soon as possible. After the briefing, Keyoto and YD start their hunt for the Shockers. On September 2 Keyoto and YD are informed that Erisu has been injured

The September 3 report from Hiroto indicates that the CM forces are flooding the northern beaches but have left the south and east. Keyoto order the remaining Demon warship to leave port as soon as possible to draw some force off the north. More fires are reported near the top of the peak of Demon mountain. YD believes it is Shocker Quicksand who is causing these arsons. Keyoto remains impatient as he continues to hear reports of Demon prisoners being burned alive with Yoder's furnace. Keyoto offers 1000 tales of gold to the soldier who takes the head of a CLG. Hiroto recommends to Keyoto to let the CLG/CM take the north so a full regrouping can occur. Keyoto sends the last unused Demon division to the south to aide Edosu if another major attack occurs. The remaining forces on the east and west are told to ready themselves for a northern push. Later that night Keyoto is informed by scouts, that Blaze and Flux survived but were badly injured and are being sent to Yoder's island. On September 4, a rainstorm slows the battle pace. Hiroto informs Keyoto of the total Demon deaths, with an estimate of 5300. Keyoto also is informed that Fire Ninja Zanatogi is in route to the island, but is not expected to arrive for several more days. Hiroto and the Demon soldiers says the beaches are full of Demon and CM dead. The corpses are rotting in the heat and disease is expected. Hiroto orders a huge mass grave be dig near the rally center for the Demon dead, but with the battle still in full force, Keyoto orders his doctors to be ready for mass illness. Erisu is given an emergency surgery to remove splinters from his hip and left leg from the rocket blast. September 5 beings with the landing of CLG Adams. His battleship comes to the north shore and Adams lands onto Demon Ninja Island and plants a CM flag on the beach. Keyoto is notified and prepares his forces for a full strike on the north shore. Edosu reports that all fighting has ceased in the south. Hiroto orders him to leave and gives command to Estrada in the south. Adams cables the CM headquarters of his landing on the island. He notifies Guyers that only a third of the CM forces have been lost and says the island should fall within the week. CLG Millberg lands later to backup Adams. Hiroto and YD worry about disease more as many of the Demon dead are brought to the mass bit. Later Devin reports that a new pirate ship has invaded the port and has raided one of the two gold reserves near Demon mountain's foothills. Keyoto has to delay his attack on Adams and the CM to stop the pirates. Keyoto, Devin, and YD are able to confront and fight the pirates but their ship, with the gold leaves the port. Keyoto uses one of his rockets to blast the ship and it sinks in the distance. Keyoto vows to pull the gold up after the battle is over. September 6 brings shocking news to the CLG as well as the Demon Ninja. Adams relays several cables to the CLG at the CM base with no response. After a lengthy effort Adams and Millberg are able to contact a member of the CM National Council and it is revealed that the CLG regime in the CM has been toppled. Adams informs Yoder and Millberg that they will continue to attack Demon Ninja Island and swiftly return to the CM base as soon as the island falls. Several heavy battles are being waged in the north of the island when Keyoto hears the news. Keyoto is shocked and Hiroto insist that this news will greatly help them. Keyoto worries about who may have toppled the CLG, wondering if they are determined to continue this campaign against the Demons. Keyoto later learns that Erisu has been successfully operated on and is been placed in a bunker within the mountain. Keyoto's chief doctor warns Keyoto of the diseases that are likely as the nearly 5500 Demon and 16000 CM dead rot on the beaches and jungle. Keyoto tells Hiroto he has no troops to spare now for grave duty and insist the dead will be dealt with after the battle..... Continues on Island Invasion III.... by Jesse Nightingale ©2005 |
