Explanation Time I

Demon Devin has sent a note to Demon Keyoto wishing to explain her actions when she worked for Zamada in the summer. She has asked Keyoto to meet her with only two of his men. Devin stated that she shall come to a small island near the CM coast with two friends. Keyoto has agreed and has come with Striker Sanhoro and Edosu.

Devin looks out onto the damp, misty shoreline as she sees Keyoto and his two men walk onto the island. Devin turns to her friends, JC Fox and Orange Spider Quiki and says, "Keyoto has arrived....or at least someone masquerading as Keyoto." A chili sea wind blows as the distant Demon group climbs to the peak of island to the meeting site. JC turns to Devin and asks, "Do you think Keyoto will be a fair judge? Do you think he will understand your motivation?" Devin sighs and says, "I doubt it. I have respect for Keyoto, but he only seems to sees Yellow Demon's side on this issue. I fought bravely for him on many occasions and he seems to ignore that. Keyoto has a very thin skin and hates to be criticized. My insults hurt him and the clan more than anything I can do to him on the field." JC laughs, "Are you kidding?" Devin says, "He's a man of high pride. Anything that challenges his decisions angers him to his core. He has to choose if he wants me as an ally or as an enemy."

As Keyoto walks he says, "She has much to answer for, turning on my clan. Bringing havoc when I has ill. She is on dangerous ground with me. Edosu, you need to break your ties with her, she will no doubt try to make you turn on me and my clan. I am eager to get this meeting over with." Striker Sanhoro sees an unusual flag flying near the top of the hill they are climbing. He points it too Keyoto and Keyoto bellows, "I can't believe it. This must be a joke. Devin's demon insignia. Another thing she will have to answer for."  After a fifteen minute climb, the Demons reach the meeting site and stand facing Devin and her party.

Striker Sanhoro shouts, "Demon Keyoto received your message Demon Devin. You have a lot to answer for, to Keyoto, to Yellow Demon, to our clan. Your actions were treasonous." Keyoto stands strong and silent. Sanhoro continues, "Please state your case to Keyoto and he will be your judge. He will determine if you shall remain one of us." Devin glares at Keyoto while Sanhoro speaks. Edosu says, "Devin, please state your case. You betrayed our clan, you caused great shame to us." Devin slyly grins and says, "Is this Demon Keyoto that stands here or is it an imposter? The last time I saw Keyoto he was frail and comatose. You, whoever you are doesn't even look like Keyoto or even human for that matter." Keyoto coldly says, "Your sharp tongue will cut your throat one day little girl. I am Kamakoto Keyoto, leader of the Demon Ninja clan and your master. You have shown no respect to me or my clan for many months and while I lay in a coma, you plotted to undermine my deal with Zamada. The results of your medaling cost us over seventy percent of our income at the time." Devin replies, "You only seem to see things from the view of your boy Yellow Demon. He was the one who called for open war when you were in coma. He alienated many of the villages who had no interest and at that time no means of defense against a CM or Kogasuma army attack. I offered Zamada better trained troops and he accepted. While I did this, Yellow Demon made outrageous demands on Zamada, angry that I had made a counter offer and he chose to end the alliance. Wouldn't you do the same if you were in his position? I worked for the good of the villagers, our people in doing so. Your exiled clan has done nothing over the last year besides build those walls around those villages. Protecting Zamada ment keeping the our villagers nearby safe, no matter who trained them. Yellow Demon had banished me from Demon Ninja island beforehand because I spoke poorly of that Kogasuma whore Juki Wu. I don't have the slightest idea as to why she has so much influence with you and Yellow Demon. She is of Kogasuma noble birth and she has yet to do anything successfully for you." Keyoto replies, "Your jealousy of Juki is shameful and embarrassing to say the least. I decided who is a Demon and second guessing my judgment is not smart at all. You have no choice in regards to Juki, she is one of us and that is final." Devin points to Keyoto and snarls, "Send Juki to see me, to settle our differences and I will knock that bitch out!"

Keyoto looks at JC Fox in the background and Orange Spider Quiki. He ignores Devin's rambling for a second and says, "You have brought two of your so called friends. I know of JC Fox, the Lavender Blade. I know she helped you some years ago. The man in orange I do not know." Devin says, "He is a Black Ninja agent, Quiki." Edosu yells, "You have Black Ninja friends.....they killed your uncle. Are you insane?" Keyoto says, "You have crossed the line, what is you association with the Black Ninjas?" Devin says as she gives Edsou an evil glare, "After your brother Erisu got lucky and tossed me over that falls, I laid for days badly injured. A young boy came upon me and I sent a message to JC Fox for help. Her sister Melinda intercepted the letter and sent me to a small inn to recuperate. She later told JC and had me sent to the a black ninja camp to help retrain. Only their help saved me from death. Quiki is a black ninja agent." Keyoto says, "You would dare to train and seek friendship with black ninjas, the ones who killed your uncle Vlad?" Devin says, "Uncle Vlad died in battle, as a warrior. That's the way he had wished to die as you remember." Edosu shouts, "You turncoat, you turned your back on our clan again. You're a monster!" Keyoto turns to Edosu and barks, "Enough Edosu, don't let you emotions take control of you." Devin says, "I have no interest of being a black ninja. They were the only CM group I would be safe with. Melinda Fox didn't want me falling into the hands of other CM's such as the Spider Ninjas or the many of the other rouge group that would surely had me killed." Keyoto looks at JC and says, "You seems to have good friends, ones who will help protect you. Ones that can tolerate your sharp tongue. I had wished to have you go and retrieve the mask of Vlad for me to regain your place as a demon but...." Devin interrupts, "No need Keyoto." JC reveals Demon Vlad's mask and tosses it to Devin.

Keyoto, Edosu, and Sanhoro are surprised to see the mask as Devin hold it with her green eyes blazing. Keyoto shouts, "How did you retrieve his mask?" Devin says, JC just asked Jill Matsmoti and gave it to me. That simple. They had no idea as to what was hidden on the back, the gold mines location." Keyoto says, "You do know you family history very well girl, but you need three masks to find the location." Devin grins and says, "Of course I know that Keyoto. While you were in your coma, I etched your inner mask and even earlier I did the same to Yellow Demons while he was practicing his fighting one day. I have all I need to find your our gold." Keyoto says, "True, but who will help you? That gold is ours. It's somewhere in our territory. If you take that from us, I will destroy you and anyone who helps you." Devin laughs and says, "That's the kind of thinking that has alienated you from our people."

Keyoto walks up to Devin and says, "Erisu said you were much stronger physically than you look and your skills in Demon Ninjutsu were much higher than realized, even then. I ask you to look at the demon villages as they are. Who do you think built them to their glory? Who do you think rebuilt them when we were massacred by Kogasuma agents all those years ago. We were nearly wiped out. Your father perished soon after the massacre at sea. Only I , Yellow Demon, and you uncle Demon Vlad survived to rebuild our society. We are now on the verge of become a nation. Something our father's and grandfathers had only dreamt of. It's because of the three of us that happened. Our blood, our sweat, or tears. Sadly, your uncle died in battle, I agree a warriors death, a death he had asked for. You betrayed our clan when you undermined Yellow Demon when he needed you the most. If I had died, he would be the new leader, your master. Do you really think your father would approve?" Devin snarls with anger as Keyoto cocks his head back with pride. She says, "You betrayed my father many times Keyoto, I know that. My father should have been the Demon leader after your grandfather died but you and your dad betrayed him and sent him to sea on those silly missions for gold, to keep him away from the villages." Keyoto looks Devin eye to eye and says, "Your father was just like you, a devious person, power hungry and evil. Our people would only suffer with him as leader. My father was a fair and righteous man." Devin simmers as Keyoto continues, "I gave you a chance Devin. I believed you were more like your uncle, dangerous but goodhearted. I see you're more like your father Demon Zeus than I had imagined. They should have done what your mother had wished, drowned you at birth."

Devin says in horror, "What?" Keyoto says, "Yes, soon after you were born a shaman told my grandfather that your red hair was the sign of an evil spirit and you should be killed swiftly. Your mother believed you were evil as well and wanted to drowned you. Only your father came to your rescue that time. He kept you from our elders for months and left your mother because of that." Devin's eyes filled with tears. Keyoto continues, "My father believed you could turn toward good, but most of the clan believed your were sent from hell." Devin trembling in anger and horror says, "My dad was the only man I have truly loved thus far. My mother is a drunk and an unfit mother and you know that." Devin falls to her knees and cries. JC swiftly walks over and consoles her. Keyoto says, "You will always be an outcast Devin. You are lucky that you have friends at all. All you do is use people." Devin looks up to Keyoto with tears running down her face and shouts, "You faggot! You liar! I have only a few people who have ever treated me with any respect and for that I will gladly and most willingly give my life for them. JC here is one of my truest friends. I have never asked nothing of her and I have been treated as a friend, a sister of sorts." Keyoto looks at JC and says, "You have remained quiet girl. You haven't even tried to defend Devin. " JC smiles and says, "You are simply revealing your true colors Demon Keyoto." Keyoto laughs and says, "You are as much as an embarrassment as Devin within your circles. Your sister Valerie is of pure heart and honest, someone I respect, but you disguise an evil side behind your daffy exterior. You are much more like Melinda, calculating." JC grins and quietly begins to whistle a tune.

Keyoto turns and looks at Edosu and Sanhoro and thinks to himself. Devin stands and wipes the tears from her eyes. Keyoto says, "I have to decide what to do with you girl. You have insulted my clan and now you have the key to one of our secret gold mines. You have shown your hatred toward me and my Yellow Demon. You have shown that you have no respect for the alliances we make. You have shown that you believe you would be a better leader then I." Devin shouts, "Haven't you comprehended anything I have said?" Keyoto stands tall and says, "If only I could just cut that tongue from you month. You're a turncoat. Your words and deeds have made me want to crush you scrawny bones so many times. You can't believe the anger I felt when Hiroto told me of how the Zamada alliance fell apart because of you. I will be your ultimate judge girl. I will think over your fate." Devin backs away as JC hold Vlad's mask and Quiki looks on. Edosu  remain ready for Keyoto's verdict. Sanhoro tears down one of Devin's demon flags as Keyoto approaches Devin and JC. JC hands the mask to Devin and she hisses, "This mask is mine Keyoto." Keyoto barks, "Your fate and that of Vlad's mask rest with me."
