Broken Hearts

After the battle on Demon Ninja Island, Demon Keyoto secretly ordered Yellow Demon to go on a top secret mission to hunt down and kill the Shockers and CLG General Adams. He spread reports that Yellow Demon perished in the battle to help aid Yellow Demon's cover. Keyoto only told the details of this information to his top staff. After months of little news of his whereabouts, Keyoto is informed that Adams has captured a man fitting Yellow Demon's description. Keyoto sends Edosu and Demon Estrada out to rescue him. During this time Juki Wu, Yellow Demon's long love, has been engaged to Kogasuma Royal Dragon Juno Kamihoto, not knowing Yellow Demon is alive.

Edosu and Demon Estrada have spent two weeks searching many villages on the CM/Kogasuma border, finding no useful information. They have discovered one fact that Adams, thinking he had a boat operator named Yuri Danzig instead of Yellow Demon, sold Yellow Demon to a mining company nearly a month ago but know little else about the facts. Edosu says to Estrada, "We have to find YD. If not Keyoto will tan my hide. I can't screw this mission up. You know how much he cares for YD." Estrada says, "I know, we may have to inform Juki that YD is still alive. Maybe then she will break this marriage to Royal Dragon. If YD knows, there will be misery all around."

Meanwhile at the Kogasuma Royal Palace, Juki Wu and Royal Dragon plan for their wedding. Juki visits her family's estate with Royal Dragon. She and Juno enter as Yuki welcomes them in. Juki is happy to see them but still very sad about her father's death two months ago. Juki's mother is very happy to see Juno and looks forward to become a mother of a royal. Zuki Wu also greets the soon to be royal couple from his wheelchair. Zuki is still nursing injuries from an attack from CM ninja Yamada. Zuki says, "Welcome Juno. It's going to be great to have you in the family. I take it I will have a seat near the emperor for your wedding?" Juno says, "I'll see what I can do. I had wished your father could have had that seat but since you are the head of this family now, you should have it." Yuki cringes after hearing Juno say that. Zuki asks Juki, "Are your injuries heeled my sister?" Juki says, "I'm much better but Rex Peterson and my doctor say I will have limited use of my shoulders for some time. I am now a bride, not a fighter. I have to put my past behind me. Yellow Demon is dead, my father is dead, I was badly beaten by Valerie Fox, I have to look to the future." Zuki says, "That is the smartest thing that has come out of your mouth this year." Juki gives Zuki an angry look and turns to Juno and puts her arms around him and says, "This is my life now. I've been through so much this past year, I can't wait for my wedding." Juno and Juki hug.

Yellow Demon has spent weeks working fifteen hour shifts in a diamond mine seventy miles south of the Kogasuma Imperial city. YD has been trying to gain information of Juki's whereabouts since she left the Demon Ninjas in the summer and has had difficulty. YD had almost killed CLG Adams but his boat was ceased by Adams. YD gave an alias of "Yuri Danzig" and was sold to a mining company as a prisoner. YD hates this slave labor and has become a leader to the miners who hate the company they work for. YD has seen fourteen deaths within the mine during his shifts. After his shifts have ended, he tries to find any news he can about the Demon Ninjas and Juki Wu. One morning a mining party discover a giant diamond deep with one of the tunnels. The foreman of the company asks YD to oversee the removal of the diamond. As YD and mining personal he has chosen to help him study the diamond, the foreman arrives. The foreman has confidence in YD because he is smart and strong. YD draws up a plan to carefully free the diamond from it's surroundings. The foreman says to YD, "The owner will want to see this beauty. He may even offer it to the Royals for their wedding." YD hasn't heard of a Kogasuma wedding but continues his job.

After four hours of careful chiseling, the Diamond is freed and sent to be cut. YD and his crew are invited to speak with the owner of the mine after a successful operation. That night YD and his twelve man crew arrive at the diamond cutters and is greeted by the mining company owner. The owner is a short old man but very happy to see them. YD asks about the future of this diamond after the cutter has crafted and polished the beautiful gem. The owner says, "I will give it as a gift from the company to the soon to be Royal couple." YD asks, "Is there a wedding, I'm afraid I haven't heard of such a marriage?" The owner turns and says, "Why yes, Royal Dragon Juno Kamihoto is to marry Wu Enterprise's Juki Wu." YD jaw drops in astonishment. He asks, "Are you sure it isn't Yuki Wu?" The owner says, "No, it's Juki, the girl that had all those problems with the Demon Ninjas." YD nearly collapses as his heart sinks. Two of his fellow crew try to help him but YD storms out of the building.

Four days later Edosu and Demon Estrada visit the diamond mine and ask a few workers if they know of a Yuri Danzig. Two recognize the name and describe YD in detail. Edsou and Estrada are very happy they are finally on the right trail. As they further question the workers, they discover YD had just vanished after hearing the news of the Royal marriage. One worker states, "He left that night, totally in shock. He keep saying, 'How could she do this to me?'". Edosu and Estrada immediately make their way to the Kogasuma Imperial City, knowing YD is sure to be there for the wedding.

On the morning of the wedding, Juki is visited in her room in the Imperial Palace by Yuki and Zuki Wu. Juki greets them as they enter. Yuki sees Juki dressed in her wedding kimono and complements her on how beautiful she looks. Juki says, "I'm so glad we are all together. Juno is so great and I can't wait to get married. Yesterday Juno adopted little Luki and a royal tattoo was place on his chest to formally make him a royal. Juno really loves my boy." Yuki asks, "Do you see yourself have more children?" Juki laughs and says, "Juno wants a son of his own to play with little Luki. I wish YD would have lived to know how well his son will live now." Zuki yells, "Royal Dragon is the best thing to happen to you, don't screw it up. At least your son is now in royal hands....you can't screw that up now, thank God!" Juki says crossly, "Luki is my son. He will be raised by me and Juno, no one else. Stay away from him Zuki." Yuki says, "Enough of your bickering. The emperor has arrived and we will soon be seated. Mother is very happy." Juki asks her aides to enter her room to continue preparing for the wedding.

Yellow Demon arrives at the Kogasuma Imperial Palace while having traveled in disguise using he cloak. He knows he has no chance of entering the palace and thinks of a way he can "crash" the wedding. After an hour of waiting he notice a line of gift givers and sees the owner of the mine he worked for. He walks up to him and asks if he can help present the diamond. At first the mine owner is unsure but YD convinces him that having the man there who freed this gem would impress the royals. YD places a mask on his face to hide his identity if any Kogasuma member would recognize him. After a lengthy wait YD is allowed in.

Royal Dragon speaks to his sister Princess Meiko before the ceremony. He says, "I wish Jamesu would have been here. I'm still very worried about him and his quest for revenge. I want so badly to aid him but I know he doesn't want us to interfere. I wish I could do something." Meiko says, "Just put that out of your mind today. I sent out scouts to see if I can find anyone who can help him. The last note I received from Jamesu stated that he was deep undercover and wants us to act as normally as possible. I lose sleep every night over this too." Juno turns to Meiko and asks, "Do you think Juki is of pure heart?" Meiko says sheepishly, "I honestly think she's very confuses. I wish you would have wed Yuki instead. Juki's Demon Ninja past has a way of revealing itself from time to time. You know too I hate her brother." Juno says, "Rex said the same thing, but I love Juki. I think we can be happy together and now that I have adopted Luki, I have a family of my own." Meiko say while walking out of the room, "You know her the best so I will do all that I can to support the both of you."

The wedding ceremony begins as Juno and Juki walk to a Shinto priest standing on a stage in a grand room of the Imperial Palace. The emperor is present was well as Rex Peterson, Hasamtshu, Tia Hasamisha, Yuki and Zuki Wu, Juki's mother Suki, and baby Luki. As the ceremony begins gift givers are allowed to pass by Juno and Juki before the actual marriage. After twenty gift givers pass, Yellow Demon and the owner of the mine enter. YD looks at Luki in a crib and notices the royal tattoo. His blood boils. He then can see Juno and Juki greeting the gift givers from a distance. YD hasn't seen Juki in over five months. She hugs Juno which further angers YD. As he comes closer as the line moves, he hears Juki giggling and complementing Juno. With this YD explodes with anger as he shouts, "You betrayed me Juki! How could you do this to our son!" The room falls silent. A scuffle ensues as guards grab YD. The guard leader yells, "Kill this insolent bastard!" Royal Dragon says, "No, who is this man who speaks a foul of my soon-to-be wife!" Juki yells, "Who are you?" As he is brought to Juno and Juki, Yuki recognizes YD's ponytail from his visit in the spring. She gasps. Juno says, "Who are you masked man? Why do you speak such ill will toward Juki Wu?" YD says in a growl, "Remove my mask!" As the guards lift YD mask he looks right into Juki's eyes with an angry, heartbroken look. Juki screams in disbelief and falls to her knees. Yuki says, "It's Yellow Demon!" Zuki tries to stand with his cane and yells, "Kill him. It can't be this Yellow Demon, he died." Juno looks at YD and yells, "State your name mister! Are you Yellow Demon?" YD says as his face is red with anger, "I am Yeikihama Datihishi of the Demon Ninja Clan, better known as Yellow Demon!" He turns to Juki who's eyes are filled with tears and shouts, "How could you just forget me so soon? How could you let our baby be adopted by the Kogasuma Royals? I've spent months in agony looking for you and I find you here....here. I can't believe it!" Juki says as she stands feebly, "My YD.......my YD! I thought you were dead. I....I....." YD knocks the guards down. Zuki yells, "Kill this Demon Ninja." Guards whisk the emperor away. YD reveals his sword, places his Demon mask on, and runs to the doorway as Juno and Rex ask him to put down his weapon. YD then turns to Luki and grabs the baby and runs out of the room. Zuki yells, "He's got the royal baby. He's got my nephew." YD runs with the baby and leaps through a window and to the roof of the palace. He quickly climbs to the ground level and onto the palace courtyards. Rex yells to the guards not to harm YD or the baby. Zuki yells at Rex that YD is to be killed. Rex orders Zuki removed from the palace at once. Juki screams in disbelief. She runs out of the palace with Juno on her trail.

Yellow Demon with baby Luki are stopped as they near the palace gates by guards. YD yells, "Get out of my way or else I will have to attack!" The guards order him to lay down his sword and the baby. Just as Juki and Juno arrive, two men riding horses arrive at the gate, Demon Estrada and Edosu. Edosu swings his sword at the guards to free YD a clear path out. Estrada yells, "Come brother Demon!" YD with baby Luki jumps onto the back of Estrada's horse and quickly escape. Rex orders the cities borders closed at once. "As YD holds Luki on Estrada's horseback, he raises his fist, greeting Edosu who's horse is running parallel to Estrada's.

Later that night Rex reports to Juno and Juki that there is no trace of YD or the Demon Ninjas. Juki cries without end. Yuki and Princess Meiko try to console her. Juno says, "I can't believe he was alive all this time. I can't believe it. Juki is near insanity with grief and sock! We have to hunt him down and get some answers. He has a baby who is now a royal. I want to know what he has to say and why he faked his death!" Later that night Yuki returns to her home and Zuki is consoling his mother. He yells to Yuki, "Juki blew it again. We were almost royals, a life of absolute power.....minutes away until her demon boyfriend arrived. I forbid her from ever enter this house again. She and that Yellow Demon will pay!" Yuki says, "We will all pay I'm afraid."
