Summary: Hanakozi Fuji was born into a military family, his father being a trusted general during the 1931-1948 Kogasuma-Mumoshi War. Fuji's father was killed in battle when he was two and was raised by his mother and her second husband Tokikaru Usiga (1908-1976). Fuji entered the Kogasuma military in 1960 and rose to the rank of general in 1979 at the remarkably young age of thirty-eight. A year later Fuji would loose his left eye in a dual with a Kogasuma officer. Fuji would serve the emperors of the Kogasuma loyally until being dismissed in 1989 by Emperor Sutamuru. In 2001, Emperor Matsmoto re-instated Fuji as a full general to help drive off the CM after they invaded. In 2004, exiled Emperor Sing Do Sho secretly began to correspond with Fuji about a plan to overthrow Emperor Sanamoto. The plan came into effect in late June 2006 with the seizure of the Imperial palace, with the plan to give the throne to Sing Do Sho. Sing was killed in a surprise attack on his castle, Castle Olni just after Fuji seized the capital. Fuji decided to make himself emperor and sent Sanamoto into exile, only sparring his life since his father Emperor Mo-Mello had been a good to him during his reign.
